Design to Impact
I’m a freelance creative director with five years of experience in designing print media. Throughout my career, I have been on the academic side, the corporate side, and the agency side of work. Hence, I understand the needs, expectations, and limitations in these worlds. I have been engaged with providing creative direction, writing services, and marketing initiatives to various corporate clients and publicity agencies. From branding to public relations, I have worked with public and private sectors including education, communication, finance, direct marketing, lifestyles, home and property development, food and beverage industry, hardware manufacturers, news media, digital and mobile technology, and nonprofit organizations.

Recruitment Advert for Texas Tech Technical Communication and Rhetoric (TCR) Programs: Conceptualized and provided several design options to program directors and faculty. Final design used in conference program booklets.
Infographic of SCSU Campus Technology Survey Key Findings: Conceptualized and optimized data from survey results. Responsible for layout, design, and copyediting. [Click on image or here to view full infographic.]
Thank-you cards for Learning Resources Services at St. Cloud State University: Several design options for LRS. Cards will be used as gratitude for donors whose contributions are made toward the library. Responsible for creative direction, conceptualization, and design.
SCSU Department of Communication Studies Annual Spring Banquet 2013 Collateral Materials: A series of publicity materials for St. Cloud State University’s Comm. Studies department’s annual banquet. Designed a full-sized poster, web announcements, tickets, flyers, and souvenir program. Responsible for the concept and design. I was also responsible for the 2012 banquet collateral materials.
Preferred Credit, Inc. Company Brochure: Created a promotional trifold for PCI’s renewed image. Responsible for creative direction and design.
St. Cloud State University Institutional Repository Brochure: Created a promotional brochure for the IR. Responsible for creative direction and design.
Pros and Cons of Coffee Drinking Infographic: Created an infographic for Preferred Credit, Inc. weekly digest. The artwork is shared virally on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
St. Cloud State University Edible Book Festival: For St. Cloud Edible Book Festival, in conjunction with James Miller Learning Resources Center 10th Anniversary Celebration. Worked with a communication specialist to create the entire line of collateral materials, including event poster, flyer, digital display and announcements, balloon cards, volunteer name cards, backdrop design, participant certificates and other displays.
Social Media Page for Comm Club and GSO: When GSO and Comm Club revamped their social media pages, I was responsible to rebuild their brand presence online and created new look and feel for the respective clubs. Re-vectorized their logos, too.
Gianni Panel Catalogue: Responsible for content development and re-establishment of company’s mission and vision.
Berjaya Times! Newsletter: A 30-page quarterly newsletter for Berjaya Vacations Club members. Responsible for content development.
Lumbermart Magazine Advertising: Full spread ad in an architecture/interior design magazine. Responsible for copywriting. I have worked with Lumbermart via an ad agency for more than three years.
JCPenney Rebranding Strategies:Participated as designer and copywriter in the SCSU National Student Advertising Competition 2011 and helped in conceptualizing new brand image for department store JCPenney. Produced magazine ads, billboard and out-of-home advertising.
